New Shelter Hours - Now Open Sundays!

In order to better serve the public and our adoptable pets the Toledo Animal Shelter has changed its hours of operation.

Our Mission:

To care for and to provide temporary and indefinite shelter and care for homeless and abandoned dogs and cats by promoting and sponsoring animal welfare education programs, adoptions, preventative veterinary care, and a mandatory spay/neuter program, with emphasis on a "no kill" policy for our animals.

Pet of the Week

Harlequin.jpg

Harlequin is year-and-a-half- old beauty. She's a tabby, with short hair and a combination of spots and tiger stripes. Her eyes can melt the hardest heart, but it's her personality that will really get to you. She is as sweet and cuddly as she is good-looking, and she completely adores people. She's a little shy at first, but once she warms up to someone, she goes into love overdrive -- purring and banging her head into whomever is giving her attention. Harlequin is pretty much the perfect cat.
