Adoption Information

Our adoption procedure is simple and designed to match the right animal with the right home. Our adoption form is available online and downloadable. You may return the application by email, fax or bring it with you when you visit the Shelter.

Our "guest list" changes almost daily, so please feel free to stop by and meet our new arrivals or check them out on our "Adoptable Pets" page. If you are interested in a specific age, breed, or type of animal, please ask our staff to add your name to our list. We will call if an animal that matches your criteria arrives at the Shelter providing your application has been approved.

Our facility features a special bonding room where you and your family can spend some quality time alone with our animals before deciding which one to adopt. If you already have pets, this is an excellent opportunity to see if they are compatible with the one you are considering adopting.

The Shelter invests a great deal of money in each of our animals, depending on the medical care required and its length of stay. To help defray a portion of these costs, we request a modest adoption fee:

    Cat/Kitten

  • Kittens under one year old $50.00
  • Cats one to two years old $40.00
  • Cats two years or older $30.00
    Dog/Puppy

  • Puppies under one year old $95.00
  • Dogs one year and older $85.00

Home Again microchips are optional and available for an additional $15.00.

As part of a nationwide commitment to reduce the pet over-population, all of our animals are spayed/neutered prior to leaving the Shelter. We provide preliminary vaccinations and quality veterinary care to ensure that each animal is in the best of health when it is adopted out.

Our animals are routinely treated for fleas, ticks, worms, and ear mites. Dogs are tested and treated, if necessary for heartworm. Cats are tested for feline leukemia (FeLV) and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV).
