Our dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens are all available for adoption. Because new
animals arrive almost daily, we encourage you to stop by and meet our new guests
or call to see if a particular breed or size is available.
The adoption process is simple, but we must be sure that our animals are going to
stable, loving homes. Our adoption fees are modest, designed to cover the expenses
of spaying/neutering, vaccinations, veterinary care and housing until a suitable
home is found. The Shelter invests approximately $100 in each animal on average,
and your donations help defray a portion of these costs.
All of our animals are spayed or neutered and have received preliminary shots and
veterinary care before leaving the shelter. Dogs and cats are also treated for fleas,
ticks, and round worm. Dogs are tested and treated, if necessary, for heart worm.
Cats are tested and treated for ear mites as well as tested for Feline FIV (a form
of feline AIDS).
