Mission Statement

The purpose of this organization is to promote community awareness, education, and financial support for the Toledo Animal Shelter Association.

The Auxiliary was founded in 1948, reorganized in 1963 and continues today as the fundraising arm of the Shelter. We take our mission statement seriously and work always to inform, encourage and raise funds to aid in the work of the Shelter to find loving homes for the animals that come to us.

The Auxiliary also participates in the Shelter Association's Christmas Party each year by conducting a drawing of donated items and the selling of Auxiliary shirts and pins. It is at the Christmas party that the Auxiliary makes its annual donation to the Shelter from the fundraising efforts during the year.

Membership in the Auxiliary is separate from membership in the Shelter itself and at present is $20 per year. After joining the Auxiliary, members will receive directories of membership and also will receive dues notices in April of each year.

We are always available to help out with anything that the Shelter may need during the year and to participate in any function.
