Annual Brunch and Election of Officers

TOLEDO ANIMAL SHELTER AUXILIARY KICKS OFF THE SEASON WITH ANNUAL BRUNCH AND ELECTION OF OFFICERS AT TOLEDO COUNTRY CLUB - MAY 14, 2008

President, Nancy Ligibel welcomed the many guests gathered in the Fireside Room at The Toledo Country Club. Jean Smith and Bonnie Milano greeted while Jackie Rousseau-Werner displayed the Auxiliary’s charming sale items. A lovely brunch was served.

Nominating Chairman, Carol Arnold presented the slate for the coming year 2008-2009 as follows:

President - Nancy Ligibel,
1st VP - Carole Buchanan,
2nd VP - Jean Smith
Recording Secretary - Pamela Roberts (was not able to attend)
Corresponding Secretary - Sharon Simmons
Treasurer - Carol Arnold

Past-President, Pat Hunter, conducted the installation of officers, presenting each with a flower designating their office. A gift of “thanks” was given to Bonnie Milano and to Linda McBee for their time served as Auxiliary officers.

Jean Smith, 2nd VP presented the guests with a report of the Auxiliary’s plans for upcoming events.

Jack Fynes, President of the Toledo Animal Shelter Board of Directors addressed the group regarding the exciting programs and changes at the Shelter as it continues to grow in its 81st year of service to the Toledo area with care and shelter for cats and dogs until loving homes can be found for them.
