Auxiliary Annual Summer Picnic

TOLEDO ANIMAL SHELTER AUXILIARY
ANNUAL SUMMER PICNIC
BELMONT COUNTRY CLUB
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 17, 2011

The Toledo Animal Shelter Auxiliary held their annual Picnic at Belmont Country Club with a full house. Guests gathered on the Balcony for hors d’oeuvres, fellowship and to enjoy the gorgeous evening while checking out the Silent Auction items, chaired by Linda McBee. Sharon Simmons and Ron Coffman sold 50/50 tickets and Jackie Rousseau-Werner and Pamela Roberts manned the Auxiliary items sale table.

Nancy Ligibel, Auxiliary President, welcomed guests, followed by the Invocation given by Stu Hunter. While Kevin Korecki entertained at the keyboard, all enjoyed the delicious buffet at tables decorated with beautiful floral arrangements donated by Jeff Millns of Cooper Florist. Nancy thanked Carole Buchanan for chairing the Picnic planning and reservations.

Helen Bensch, Shelter Executive Director, addressed the group thanking the Auxiliary for the purchase of new cat condos for the cat room at the Shelter -
much larger and more comfortable - the cats love them.

Past-President, Pat Hunter, presented Nancy with a gift from the Auxiliary thanking her for another year of dedicated service to the organization.

Plans are under way for the upcoming wine tasting event, “The Sweet Life” to be held on October 12 and chaired by Dawn Wroblewski-Roeske and Joni Fought.
